vMotion

Anyone know if there is a way to restrict several VM's to only two hosts that are part of a cluster with many? I have a cluster of about 10 ESX hosts (3.5 u2) and I need to keep about 10 VM's on two of the 10. I would rather not make a separate cluster just for these two hosts.

The only I can think of is to store the VMs on shared storage that is only accessible by the two host you want to restrict the vmotioning between - this will prevent the vms form taking part of HA and DRS -

Hello,

Bpace, weinstein5 has the only usable solution.... A by hand vMotion can vMotion to anywhere not a specific set of systems so you need to restrict the LUN on which these VMs reside to just the two hosts in the cluster to which you want to restrict the VM.
