Good morning,
I'm currently in the process of upgarding our environment to the latest version of ESX. It's my understanding that all of the VM's must have their VMtools upgraded. Is their a tool within VCenter that can perform this operation at once? I would hate to manually touch each machine?
Thanks
Tim
you can highlight a group of VM's and choose install/upgrade tools. Also, you may want to check out http://rvtools.deveij.com/
Thanks Troy,
I downloaded the program and it seems to work well. I just found out that we need to also install the VSS component of VMtools which is not installed by default. Is there a script or program that you know of that will do this for me?
I haven't been able to find anything. Some of the threads I've found say VSS is a manual install. You may have a look at the VI Toolkit (for Windows) forum to find something.
