upgrade Hosts from ESX 3.5 U3 to U4

Folks, Is there any way of upgrading multiple ESX 3.5 U3 Hosts to U4 with a single selection? I am looking for a solution to upgrade all of my Hosts together without rebooting the units. Does Update Manager help in anyways?

Yes, but a reboot is required.

Unfortunately, all the ESX hosts upgrades level requires to reboot the hosts in order for new packages to function properly. The VUM component can massively updates all at once if you configure baseline, scan and remediate them according to your schedule. The only way not to effect your virtual machines is VMotion and Storage VMotion to migrate VMs to different storage other than that the host itself must be reboot one by one so in theories you're not affected anyways.
