upgrade ESX3.0.1 has error!

dear all:

At present, my esx server is 3.0.1 build 32039. When I upgrade it to 3.5U3 build123630, it got error message is :

# esxupdate update

INFO: No repository URL specified, going with file:/tmp

INFO: Configuring...

ERROR: Invalid repository at file:/tmp/: Cannot find descriptor.xml

INFO: Make sure you have file: or http: prepended to the URL.

The.zip file is correct, and md5sum is fine. No errors during unzip. So, what's wrong with my process?

Anybody can help?

Hello,

How much space do you have in /tmp? You may not have enough to unpack and perform the update.

du -sh /tmp
