i want know if is possible to create a trunk between a esx server 3.5 and a cisco switch, i have checked the config from the infrastructure client and i have see that is possible to configure a vlan id on the vmnetwork and i think to create a vmnetwork for each virtual machine, or is possible to configure more than one vlan id on a vmnetwork?
Yes it is possible. You can configure the CISCO switch port in trunk mode where the pNIC, used for VM Network, is connected and create multiple portgroups each with their own VLAN ID.
