our environment is running out of storage space, the free space on the SAN is like 10GB out of 500GB. What should i be cautious about this situation? I already know I can not do snapshot. What other risk out there? Thanks
Growing logfiles and existing snapshots are the biggest risks.
Hello,
If there is no space you may not be able to power on a VM, SVMotion, VMotion, snapshot, etc... Pretty much anything that creates a file on the system.
As Oliver pointed out you want to check for snapshots and LARGE or multi logfiles associated with each VM.

Then what's the best practise about this? having at least 10% of free space is the bottom line?
