resource management

Hello,

i have a cluster with 10 NODE with total of 177804Mhz and 293530Mb of ram. My goal is to have failover capacity = 1

At the moment my Virtual center show me

Current failover capacity = 0 hosts

configured faileover capacity = 1 host

But .. in resource allocation:

CPU reservation: 177804 MHz

CPU reservation used: 150630 MHZ

CPU unreserved: 27174 MHz

Memory Reservation: 293530 MB

Memory reservation used: 260606 MB

Memory Unreserved: 32924 MB

So ... every node is 18616 MHz and 32768 MB according to resource unreserved cluster have resource to work with 9 node instead of 10. right ?

so why virtual center show me that i dont have failover capacity ?

Hi Marcos,

You should put all your capacity into resource pools. After that VC recalculates your failover capacity correctly.

If you have some VMs out of any resource pool, you may have some resources unallocated for them.

Have a nice day.
