reason for Diffrent VC Console for ESX 3.0 and ESX3.5

Hi,

any once can help me to understand that why esx 3.0 and 3.5 uses diffrent version of Virtual Center.

For me this is little uncomfortable as I am managing diffrent locations running with esx 3.0 and esx 3.5 & vice versa.Anyone know if the same console can be used for this purpose.
