"Insufficient disk space on datastore" on SVmotion with plenty of disk space

Hi,

I'm trying to move a VM from a datastore to another one (empty, with plenty of disk space) but I get "Insufficient disk space on datastore".

The VM has 5 vmdk files (complessive size is LARGER than datastore size) but I'm trying to move only VM and a couple of small vmdk.

SVmotion works well for other VMs.

Any help?

Maybe the file size are different on the two datastores?

No, destination datastore is formatted with 4 MB block size and VMDKs are all <= 1 TB.

Peraphs, SVMotion needs free space for ALL disks even if I'm moving only some smaller VMDKs?

My hypotesys was correct.

I created a datastore bigger than SUM of all VMDKs and SVmotion starts. But I needed to move only some files... :smileyconfused:
