power off of vm gave errors then host too long to enter maintenance mode

I have a client that attempted to delete a NT4 vm after powering it off. this gave some errors as you can see in extract from host log files. eventually delete vm from disk succeeded. then when the host was placed in maintenance mode if also gave errors but eventualy did enter maintenance mode.

This is not crisis yet, but would be good to find solid reason for this occurance. any ideas would be great.

From the "hostd-7.log" file:

Invalid transition

Invalid transition

Failed operation

ModeMgr:Begin failed: Required mode normal, current mode maintenance

Host is in maintenance mode. Rejected.

Bind: Failed to initialize VMotionWorker

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.HostSystem.exitMaintenanceMode-478
