What do you mean? The type and number of DIMM?

What exactly do you mean by specs of server memory? Like supported memory for ESX? VMware offers an HCL for supported system under http://www.vmware.com/go/hcl

Kind Regards,

I wish to know the specs of the physical memory in each slot meaning size and speed.

what is COS?

lshw will not work as it will only recognise virtual devices.

what is COS?

Is the Service Console. Log into through SSH (if you have enabled root user) or through keyboard and video.

Then use the above command.
