iSCSI to a Virtual Machine

Is it possible to map an iSCSI lun directly into a windows vm using the MS iSCSI initiator? I can attach to my iSCSI storage server, using the initiator, but when i assign a lun it does not appear in Windows.

Running ESX 3.5. VM running Windows 2003 x64 fully patched with latest MS iSCSI initiator.

Yes, it is possible, and is done quite often. You will have to follow the same procedures. Make sure the iqn is added to the LUN. The process works the same way as you would a regular physical server.
