Hi,
Should Hyperthreading be enabled on ESX 3.5 ? Will it cause performance degration?
Thanks
Hyperthreading, if available on the CPU, should be enabled - this is best practice. A hyperthreaded core presents an addiitional Hardware Execution Context for the vmkernel to schedule a virtual CPU - this allows the vmkernel more flexibility in scheduling the vCPU so actually will improve performance of your ESX host -
