Hello,
(I just migrate my old Esx 3.0.1 server to new hardware and to Esx 3.5 Update 3 release.)
I look at hostd.log file and see a lot of ligne about 'EnvironmentBrowser' end 'ha-license-manager'.
What it means ?
Hw info file: /etc/vmware/hostd/hwInfo.xml
Hw info file: /etc/vmware/hostd/hwInfo.xml
Hw info file: /etc/vmware/hostd/hwInfo.xml

Hello,
Sounds like your license manager is not configured or the ESX host can not reach your license server. Check your license configuration.

No, I don't think that it is an issue with license server.
My second server, still in ESX 3.0.1 hasn't this kind of log.
And I have checked my license file with Vmware web tool : it's right.
So, maybe keywords of license file are expected to be in lowercase by 3.5 server ?!
Currently all keywords are in uppercase.
Does license file has to be re-generated for esx 3.5 servers ?

Hello,
No the license file does not need to be regenerated. I was talking about the license configuration you see within the VIC. Make sure it points to the proper items and that the license file if it is a host file is registered or if its a license server it is reachable, etc.
