I have installed an ESX 3.5. I ve noticed that when I copy something (ie. vmdk files) over the network from the esx host by ftp, nfs or scp, the network is extremely slow.
It is not the same from the guests.
I ve seen something about "host throttling". Is that real??
Any ideas??
Thanks in advanced
Please take into account that the console you use to copy things is running competitively with the guests. Therefore it has been assigned limited ressources and priorities. Every ressource used by the console can't be assigned to the guest machines and that is not wanted up to a certain level.
However, you can change the ressources assigned to the console.
