had the E1422 error on Dell 2950- bios update

Hi

recieved this error. Searched and found many have it. Some state a bios update is needed to fix the bug reporting that gives the error.

I am running ESX 3.5 on a Dell PowerEdge 2950.

I am new to this stuff but searched on how to update the bios. One user said use the DSUU dvd to boot. Another said wont work on ESX 3.5. Another said create a bootable usb and floppy.

Any one help a brother out and give some instruction and color coded for me?

Hello and welcome to the communities.

I've done this in the past, and documented the instructions. See if this helps:
