I am trying to understand how to use esxtop in batch mode. By default, it spews out data that goes to AIJ in excel. I have gone through the man pages, but it is rather overwhelming, and in some cases, it seems wrong. The man pages have you point to which is either out of date, wrong version or whatever All I want to do is run esxtop in batch mode and get the following statistics from it: I cannot use the built in tools from the VIC since the stats are not updated quick enough, I need the stats every 2 seconds.
All of these are for the ESX Host server itself
Disk I/O off a specific HBA (packets sent/recieved)
Memory
CPU
Network
