esxtop cpu usage

Hi,

I am trying to understand the esxtop - CPU usage. By default when you start the esxtop, it shows you the CPU usage on that server. When, I try to connect to use this in my server, I see the CPU Load average as close to 0.50 i.e it is using 50% of CPU usage.

What, I fail to understand why is it just showing me 3 CPU where as I have DELL 6950. I have attached the screen shot for your reference.

What you highlighted is the load average for 1, 5 and 10 minutes
