about backup in ESX 3.5

Can anyone help me to know about methods of backup in ESX3.5, i know one of the method using service console with the command tar to vmfs/volume(but the issue i have a virtual disk with 32 CB i don't have any support USB, DVD or anything, i ask y if there is a software to divise one file to 2 or 3 files ). can i do a back up with another methods with virtual machine ON, using storage fible channel. thank y.

in my opinion backing up ESX, especially if you have shared storage, just isn't worth it. It would take longer to restore than it would to rebuild.

My question is how to back up a Virtual machine files: I know one method used in service console with the command tar. but the problems are:

1- how to copy the set of file Vmware with an extra size? (i need to divide a file to a group of file, winrar provide this option??????????)

2- please can y tell me an another methods of backups.
