Iam seeing yellow exclamatory sign on three of the ESX hosts, any ideas what are they trying to inform
That's why you have the alert. vCenter will complain if you don't have a redundant service console, either 2 physical nics connected ( and active ) for the vSwitch that has the service console, or 2 seperate service consoles that each have their own vSwitch.
Hi,
Highlight one of the hosts and click on alarms in VI. Does this tell you anything?
Mike
Usually indicates resource contention. The ESX may not be complaining, but the Virtual Center sets a threshold for CPU and Memory. One of those is over the warning limit, and that's why the mark.
These typically indicate that there is an alarm triggered for the host. Highlight the host and click on alarms tab and select triggered alarms. I would expect to see one or more alarms
