Windows 2008 template creation with activation

Hi,

I am planning to create a Windows 2008 template. I am having volume license for Windows 2008 servers. So, I am planning to create a template which involves activation of OS. And if that is the case, how can I use sysprep utility to get diffrent SID for each and every VM? Can anyone please help me to get such templates created?

It will be great if someone can provide me any step by step guide document for same.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sanjay

Hello.

Troy Clavell posted a link to this a long time ago, and I bookmarked it.  Check out: http://jeremywaldrop.wordpress.com/2008/10/28/how-to-build-a-windows-2008-vmware-esx-vm-template/ for a great step by step guide.

Good Luck!

I wrote a series on this a while back as well.

Windows 7/2008 Deployment - KMS and MAK Keys pt. 2

Perhaps you can make some use of the information there as well
