Windows 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise

I am currently running ESX3.5 Update 5 with vCenter v2.5 Update 6 with a total of 8 ESX hosts, and I plan to upgrade to vSphere in the next month or so.

When vSphere 4.0 was first released, I've heard that it had performance problem with vitual machines running Windows 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise 64-bit with multiple CPUs assigned.

Has anyone encountered Windows 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise 64-bit with multiple CPUs as virtual machines or know if the problem had been resolved in vSphere 4.1?

Is there anyone running Windows 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise 64-bit virtual machines in ESX3.5? Any issues?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks.

We are running Windows 2008 on both VI 3.5U5 and vSphere 4U1, no problems so far.
