Hello,
bad media/iso?
when I did it I had the iso on my laptop and connected the CDROM to my local copy. Have you tried that?
I will try it out, but the iso is good. I use the same iso on my vmware workstation without issue. There may be issue transfer iso from my windows server over to the esx server

That error is a memory error. At what point in the install does it give the error?
32-bit works fine. 64-bit does not.
it die very early on, about 30 sec into the boot-up, before it launch the actual install gui
I'm currently running several 64 bit versions and the only problem that I have is the CDROM driver

That is my experience as well.
I've managed to build 32-bit and 63-bit versions of Server 2008 Beta 3. I had the CD-ROM driver problems but got round them by using a CD-ROM emulator (as opposed to the CD mounter).

This appears to get round the problem - rather than solving it.
