Windows 2000 Server VM blue screens after P2v conversion

Hi,

I'm having a blue screen issue with a VM after a P2V conversion of a Windows 2000 server box. The bluesceen error is attached. The P2V was carried out using the latest version of VMware Converter.

Anyone come across this before? Any suggestions?

Thanks for your post. The server is using SP4. I thin this is the latest service pack for Windows 2000

Have you tried to do a "Reconfigure" on the VM using the converter....?

Maybe something in this progress failed during the conversion....

Thanks for your post. I deleted the VM & kicked off the P2V conversion again & second time round I increased the size of the system drive & stopped some services & still no luck.

Did teh Safe Mode got the Blue Screen too, if no try to remove the drivers (Chipset, Graphics, Sound, etc).

Might also be worth re-applying the service pack + vmware tools after conversion from safe mode (assuming you can get in)

yes, unfortunately it blue screens in safe mode as well.

I will reapply service pack 4 to the physical box & kick off the conversion again and let you know how it goes.
