Why does VM machines keeping moving by themselves?

We havent setup DRS yet, but our VMs seem to move by themselves.

We have 4 ESX servers controlled by VC. When creating a new VM we specified the datastore to the one that is attached to ESX1, but when it 100% created, it appears in ESX2. The datastore locations are all correct.

Why is this so?

My best guess is that DRS is enabled, maybe not on fully automated but partlialy automated. Else I would be surprised.

Hello,

Either you mistook one datastore for another or the default values for VMware DRS are enabled, which is fully automated. Is VMware DRS enabled on your cluster?
