Where does Update Manager store the patches?

Since the patches stay around forever (according to the documentation) I would like to know where they are stored so I can monitor the disk space.

Anyone know where they are kept? I assume it is on the VC server somewhere...

You can change the default location and find the location in : C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Update Manager\vci-integrity.xml

it's in the profile somewhere, but i don't have access to a VC server at the moment. but check the xml file. look for the <patchstore>.

Here's your answer, you can set the location using an XML file and then simply restart the service.
