Vmware EXS Server Build

looking to build a vmware server from scratch and thinking about the specs to use to build a mid range server

this is for a lab in my house so nothing to fancy

i just checked it and it has this poweredge T105 listed which i do have with 2TB space and 4gb of ram in it but says this as well

ESX Version: 3.5i Information:

The system also detect the hard drive with the on board controller

do i need an SAS controller card and what else?

i have sata drives as well
