VirtualCenter Server / Client Missing

I just installed the VirtualCenter Server 2.0 on a spare XP system I had to manage my hosts. I then went to launch the VCenter Client and noticed nothing was there. The only menus I have available after the install are Tomcat webpages, the VC License Server and the VCenter Infrastructure Web Access page. I see nothing else installed. ??

I do have the option of installing the Infrastructure Client again. But I thought I needed the specific VCenter Client for advanced Host management?

Is the client actually there and just the shortcut is missing, check your file system for this file....

"C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Virtual Infrastructure Client 2.0\vpxClient.exe"

The client install package is usually in:

C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter 2.0\tomcat\webapps\ui\misc\downloads

and also:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\docRoot\client

fyi...if you find this post helpful, please award points using the Helpful/Correct buttons....thanks

just type the ip address of your VC server in your browser: by example: http://10.20.30.40 and click on the link to download the client and then install it
