Virtual Machine config file does not exist

Hi all,

We have 3 Esx 3.5 Up3.

One of them sametime shows the error: "Virtual Machine config file does not exist" , when trying to open console for a VM.

This same error block also the execution of nightly backups for that VM. (VRanger Pro from Vizioncore).

Two others Esx servers never showed this error. I got this error three times since August 2009.

Yesterday I got the error, I tried to reboot the Esx server:

- I got the VM "unaccessible" after reboot

- I created a now host connection (re-register VM) and pointing vmdk file to disk and I got VM running agin.

I thought of a possible hardware disk problem.

I am very very scary about this situation, did some of you experienced the same problem ?

any ideas ?

Tks a lot for your help,

Stefano
