Hello all,
with the VMware Server Console, I could easily get the guest to display full screen by pressing CTRlALTReturn. This doesn't work with the console in Virtual Infrastructure Client. Any hints how I can achieve this there?
(I know that the Web Access frontend allows this, but I would rather use VIC.)

Hoi Jan,
You could tear-off the console screen from VC using the button with the little monitor and the green arrow pointing away from it. The view you get can be maximized to almost-fullscreen (minus the window and options of the console).
Hello Erik,
yes, that is what I am currently using. It is exactly these menu, tool bar and status bar areas that I would like to get rid of. A real full screen VM display. I am reluctant to believe that the comparatively expensive ESX solution cannot do what the free VMware Server offers ...

Understand. I personally use this console as little as possible, and switch to RDP (windows) or realVNC (linux) asap after an install.
Nevertheless, it would be a great option to have in VC as well! I do know a separate tool which is able to accomplish this:
