Virtual Center - VM migration changes file and directory names

I created a few new LUN's on my Clarion and wanted to move some VM's to load balance my disk and LUN's to the new locations. I used the migration option from the VIClient and picked my new storage area and after the successful migration the directory and files names added additional charactors???? WHY?

Pre-move directory name = GreenPrintAdmin

Post-move directory name = GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ

The same pattern for all the VM files as well

# ls -c

GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ.vmsd vmware.log vmware-1.log

GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ.vmx GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ.vmdk vmware-3.log vmware-2.log

GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ.vmxf GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ-flat.vmdk vmware-4.log GreenPrintAdminWw-x0XQ.nvram

I figured out why. I have use a backup software from PHD Virtual Technologies (formally PHD technologies). You can disable your VM backup by renaming the VM using at the end of the name. All of my renamed machines had this at the end of the name.....don't know why it added more characters than but this is the root cause.
