I am cloning a 30GB VM from a SAN volume to NFS. After 45 minutes, the clone is 35% complete. Esxtop shows that host is transmitting about 30Mb/s over a 1000Mb/s network.
esxcfg-nics shows 1000Mbps and full duplex.
The SAN and the NetApp are both idle.
Starting a second clone does not change the network load.
Why can I not saturate a 1Gb NIC?
