VMware Update Manager and Proxy Settings

Hi,

I've just installed a fresh install of Virtual Center and all components. The problem I'm faced now is that the update manager cannot download it's patches. So I have to configure a proxy-server. The proxy does not need any auth. I just have to tell the update-manager the correct proxy-ip. But I cannot see a way how to configure a proxyserver and a proxyport.

I've found some answers to this question but no correct solution. There are no "proxy" parts within the fresh vci-integrity.xml...

Perhaps someone can tell me how to configure a proxyserver with a proxyport WITHOUT any auth.

Additionally I'd like to now how to trigger the patch-download manually...

Thanks in advance

Sascha

Hi,

you can set the proxy information in virtual center. Go to update manager - configuration - Internet Access.

See attached screenshot.

Hi

I have a similar problem and read this post but I do not have the configuration tab in my update manager settings.

I am using V1.0.0.63959 is there a later version? If so where can I install it from?
