VMware Tools

hi

i got about 400 vm's and in about 8 the following error eccours

vmware service.exe application error

the instruction at " 0x0040ab80" referenced memory at "0x00000000"

the memory could not be read

the funny thing is that most of the 400 are clone of the same machine and it only happend in 8

the second thing is that it hapens on a new install from scrach machine

Do you get the same error on a VM if you move it to another host?

It could be the physical memory on the host, try running memtest for 72 hours on a host if you have enough capacity to take it offline for this long

Seems strange. Is each VM set to the correct operating system in the options of the virtual machine settings? Have you tried uninstalling VMware Tools and reinstalling? Are the hosts out of memory? Try moving a VM which has the problem to a host where there are no other machines running.

You could also uninstall the memory management component of the VMware Tools in Add/Remove programs in the guest

the thing is that if i restart the machine it is fine and if i do shutdown and then poweron
