VMware Resource allocation.

Hello All,

I am using ESX server 3.5.0.

ESX Host server configuartion:

RAM : 2 GB

CPU : 2 x 2 GHz

I am creating 2 virtual machines each with 1 GB ram and 2 virtual CPU . Memory or CPU limit in resource allocation tab is unlimited ( default ).

In the above configuration, suppose i switched off 1 of the virtual machine,Will the 2 virtual machine take more than 1 Gb ( Memory usage > Reserverd memory ) if it needs?

Can anyone help me?

Hello.

If you configured the VM to have 1Gb memory, then that is all it will use.
