We currently have four blades that have Intel Xeon 5160 processor's in them. We are looking to purchase a blade that has a Intel Xeon 74XX series for the cpu. The VMotion CPU Compatibility Requirements for Intel Processors KB Article puts our current CPU's in group B and the new CPU would be put in group C for Intel Core CPUS.
In order for VMotion to work I would have to apply the SSE4.1 mask. Has anyone experience any problems with this type of scenario?
