VMWare ESX 3.5 install problems

I am attempting to install VMware ESX 3.5 on a new server (Specs below) I get just past the first screen when I get this error:

usb.c new usb bus registered assigned bus number 1

I have been assured by the local VMware rep that my HW is compadible. I have attached a screenshot for a full screen shot. I appreciate any ideas anyone has.

Have you disabled the USB in the BIOS and tried to install? Is this where it hangs

If I do that won't that disable my keyboard and mouse?

Have you just tried to disable your USB Subsystem from the MainBoard BIOS ?

Let me know.

I've just looked at every menu and option in the setup, there isn't anything having to do with USB there.

I should also mention that we had previously installed VMware 4.0 on the same server, (it didn't work for other reasons) but it did install.

Have you verified that you have good install media?

Try this -- during your install, when you get to the usb.c line, wait a full 10 seconds and then touch the RIGHT-CNTL key concurrently with the RIGHT-ALT key and hold those keys down for three seconds, then let go of the keys and see if your install/load proceeds ahead.

What is this doing?

>> What is this doing?

I have two AMD CPU ESX white boxes that work properly after the install and after a boot up but during the install as well as during the bootup after the install I have to hit keys to make the install or make the bootup continue properly. If I let the install or if I let the bootup hold at the point where the keys are needed to continue, then I end up with a PSOD in both instances. If I hit the keys during the bootup or during the install (as I've suggested in the previous forum message) then evenything with these ESX hosts works fine (these boxes have been up and under load for weeks between reboots without any ill effects).

Did you look in the PCI under advanced in the BIOS. Are you trying to install to a local RAID?

I just tried it an nothing, it just sits there. The only option I have at this point is to power it down but then I just get back to the same point.

Yes, I looked there, there are no USB settings under the PCI in the BIOS.
