VMWare Clustering - VM Isolation

Hi All,

We have a VMWare cluster installed but would like to prevent one of the VMs from migrating between hosts in the event of losing a host. Is this possible?. The reason for this is due to having an ADSL and Production LAN configured on one of the hosts, so as soon as the VM migrates to another host, connectivity to the ADSL network is lost.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

edit settings of the cluster.. Go to VMware DRS--Virtual Machine Options. Find the guest in quesion and change the automation level to Disabled.

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

For VI3, your best bet may be to just disable DRS for the guest in question.

Thank you for your response Troy.

I thought that DRS could only be enabled or disabled at a cluster level and not at a guest level
