VM won't initialize, just shuts down without error.

I shut down this VM, server1, to do add more disk space. Now it won't boot up and there's no error in the VI Client. The guest is SLES10, and the VMware host is ESX Server, 3.5.0, 153875. Here's the tail of my /var/log/vmware/hostd.log file:

Any ideas what these errors mean, and how to resolve them? Any other logfiles I should be looking at?

Thanks, Mike

Sounds like you are exceeding a resource pool limit. Likely a memory limit. Are you using resource pools?

One other thought. This could be the admission control setting. If you use HA and the cluster doesn't think it has enough resources to support a host failure, it won't power on a VM. Try setting the HA setting to Allow VMs to be powered on.
