I'm install new nic card to the ESX 3.5(HP380). When boot up it hang, I try to upplug the nic the server working fine. But one of my VM I failed to power up, I found that the whole VM are missing. Try browse to the datastore, the whole VM directory is gone. Anyone are facing the same issue before and have any idea I can recover the missing VM.

Is that internal storage?
Have you more vms on this one lun?
Have you checked "fdisk -l"?
It is local hard disk and i have around 6 VM running on this datastore. The rest of the VM is working fine only one VM is missing. I have run the command that you mention.
My thought was that the partition table is corrupt - but when the other vms are there, it seems to be ok.
Have you checked your raid (any degradation or similar problems) ?
Can you post the output from "fdisk -l" here?
