Hello all,
I'm very very new to ESX.
Successfully installed W2003R2 into a VM and got it running.
ESX hardware has 2 SCSI-Adaptors and "sees" all LUNS on both.
1st SCSI is where ESX-system lies with all its partitions and space for the VMs
2nd SCSI holds more 4 LUNS
How can I connect the VM to the 2nd SCSI-Controller and its drives?
(besides: Is this question clear enough to be understoud?)
I appreciate very much any help!
Thanks.

You can't map a physical SCSI controller into a VM's hardware address space. The best thing you could try and map the controller's disk via RDM as a VM's SCSI adapter's disks. But that only works if the second controller's disks provide enough information (e.g. a SCSI serial number). If not, you need to put a VMFS onto each disk, create VMDKs and map them to the VMs.
Thanks very much, BUGCHK!
Now I have a starting point, from where I cann work up things.
I believe, That it wil take some time, to become more familiar
with virtualisation.
