VCBRestore HELP !!!!

Hi

I am busy testing VCB Backups with vcbMounter and vcbRestore.

The syntax for the vcbmounter is as follows :

C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Consolidated Backup Framework>vcbmounter -h sasa-

vc.sasa.net -u admin -p password -a ipaddr:172.16.1.91 -r D:\VC\endpoint -t fullvm

I have mounted the backup folder (endpoint) on the esx server using SAMBA

The mountpoint is : /mnt/share

I need to restore the VM either to a different location or the same location ??

When I ran the following command :

vcbRestore -s /mnt/share I get an msg stating that 'Error: Missing command line option !!!

Could someone help me with getting the correct syntax to the vcbRestore command

Thanks

Minesh

hi,

Read the config.js file, I think need to specify TRANSPORT_MODE for your vcmMounter command (cos/nbd/nbdssl etc). For more information see the install.pdf.

I gave up the vcbRestore/mount command from SC, so I installed Converter Enterprice in vCenter, restore from GUI it's pretty straightforward.
