I have two storage systems connected to one backup server. There is installed PowerPath 5.2 on Windows 2003 Server x64. Windows see every storage only once, so I think that multi-path access to the storage works properly. Everytime I try to start browse (or start backup job) a virtual machine on HP Eva everythink is ok, but for VM on AX4 i recive error message:

What can I do with it?
VCB Version 1.5
Next step would be to double check your zoning and lun masking. There could be a conflict with the differnt mpio drivers between the eva and clariion. I would try removing all mpio drivers too.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

It is your version of PowerPath. Try downgrading it to a lower version or not using it at all. You don't really need multipathing for VCB to work properly.

After removing all MPIO drivers I'm able to do vcb backup on both AX4 and Eva 4000 storage systems. Thank you
Glad to help
