VCB from local storage to local storage

Hi Guys,

I hope you can help me to workout the best way to use VCB from 1 ESX host to another which only has access to local storage.

All I need to do is to take a full VM backup from VMs stored using the local storage in ESX1 to the local storage in ESX2 but know very little about the VCB scripts etc so am struggling to understand the guides etc.

Can you please help me to workout how to do this?

VCB has an over the network backup mode that you can configure in the config.js file. The default TRANSPORT_MODE is san, you can changed this to NBD to allow you to back over then network rather than using a SAN.

OK, thanks for that. I tajke it the best way to initiate the backup is to create a batch file with the vcbmounter commands in or do I need to do something prior.

I have looked for resources \ guides but struggled to get hold of anything
