VCB and Multiple HBAs

So I have configured my first VCB implementation with ESXRanger on top of the VCB Proxy and have it working after some trial and error along with info gleaned from the various posts on VMTN. We are running a couple ESX 3.5 Clusters on a single EMC Clariion CX3-20 SAN. I am hoping someone can clarify one thing for me. It seems to be common knowledge that multi-pathing in not supported. However in the VCB Best Practices guide they illustrate a 6 HBA config for increased performance / bandwidth. Is there any way for me to use more then one HBA when attaching to a single storage array? If I light up multiple HBAs I end up seeing a seperate LUN for each path which of course freaks out VCB. I realize I could zone my fabric so that each HBA is zoned to a seperate set of storage on seperate arrays, but I only have a single Clariion setup.

Thanks in advance
