I am struggling with a VCB problem these days. We are moving our VMs from DMX to Cleriion LUNs. I have 6 ESX luns which are presented as Datastor1...Datastore6. I have assigned these LUNs to ESX hosts in 2 Storage Groups. In Storage Group 1 there are 4 Datastores and I have given then Host ID 0 to 3. The second Storage Group has 2 Datastores and the Host Id I have given are 4 and 5. Then I created a third Storage Group for VCB Proxy and added the 6 Datastores in that Storage Group with same Host IDs i.e. 0 to 5 mapping them exactly with ESX storage groups. I have only 1 HBA installed on the VCB proxy and there are 2 zones in the febric for this host. When I scan the drives on VCB host I get different disk number as that of in the SAN configuration. because of this my backup is not working. Any idea about this problem??
