Use two NICs to implement the Service Console network redundancy.

Hi friends,

I think the below steps is the best way to implement the Service Console network redundancy, do you think so?

1. Create two virtual switchs and their connection type is: Service Console

2. The two virtual switch and bonded to differet NICS

3. The two Nics connect to different physical switc

If you use two vSwitch´s you have to label one Portgroup Service Console and the other one Service Console 2 and you need two IP Addresses for your host.

I would prefer to use just one vSwitch and use a minimum of two nics connected to differend physical switches.

In our environment we have one vSwitch (for VMkernel, Virtual Machines and Service Console) and bounded 4 nics to that switch. The Nics are connected to two different core switches.
