Upgrade problem from Update 1 to Update 2

Hello,

I tried to use Update Manager to upgrade the critical patches on one of our hosts - build 3.5.0 98103 - to ESX 3.5 Update 2. All looked to have gone fine except the server never returns to the Vi Client from reboot. If you look on the server itself it looks fine and I ran an esxcfg-vswif -l to check the service console. I have tried to access the host via a web browser and have ping'ed the ip address and neither get a response.

Perhaps your nics are reordered..

There were driver updates included in the patches as well. Go to the service console and make sure you can ping out of the esx host. Then, verify that your vSwitch is using the correct pNIC, and that NIC is on the correct network. You can run the following command to see which interfaces see what networks (esxcfg-info -n |grep -E 'network|hint')
