We having two ESX3.5.0 hosts which holds around 12 VMs,

Since last year our update manager wasn't working,so we haven't updated

our ESX hosts yet,

It is likely that installing all critical and non-critical updates at

once could cause an issue, so my plan is to filter out some updates which have

known issue and install only updates which works fine.

Or what would be the best approach to install updates on ESX hosts.

Thanks

Update Manager is the best option you can use to update ESX Server as well as VM's!!!!

To filter the updates you can create a baseline of your own and can filter the updates which you need.

Hi

I know how to create a baseline and remediate them but is there any list of safe patches which can be safely apply to hosts or we just need to predict from the list.

I am concerned because not sure what would be the impact if we install ESX server 3.5.0 Update2 to Update 4 at once

Thanks
