Updating Virtual Center from 2.5.0 update 4 to 2.5.0 update 6.

Hello, I want to bring my virtual center for my ESX 3.5 hosts up to the latest production level which at this time is 2.5.0 Update 6. Has anyone run into any issues when upgrading from an earlier version of the 2.5.0 virtual center to the latest version? I will backup my sql database first before any update of the virtual center. I do not plan on updating my ESX hosts from 3.5 at this time. I only want to upgrade the virtual center software. Thanks for any info. Doug

I did last week an update from U3 to U6, worked fine, no issues during installation, and all hosts had their agents upgraded with no issues also.

With the backup you will have all under control, in case of any problem... which I don't believe will happen.

When you run the setup, remember to specify the existing ODBC DNS.

In this way the install will perform an upgrade instead of a new installation.
